VANRATH is pleased to be recruiting for a Financial Analyst for a large manufacturing organisation in Belfast. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, you will work alongside 5 others and play a pivotal role in all financial modelling and analysis across the business.

The Role
The successful Financial Analyst will be reporting on business activity to depict a financial storyline to map out the business decisions to ensure they are growing and reaching their full potential. The successful individual will be able to see anomalies and discrepancies within large sets of data, to effectively prepare quantitative analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible the following:

  • You will monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing cause of unexpected variance across a range of business functions
  • Support the development and improvement of financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, planning and modelling.
  • Prepare a range of standard and ad-hoc reports and analyses to support business decision making. Prepares and analyses quarterly and monthly financial reports
  • Carry out analysis and modelling work to support strategic investment
  • Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes


The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have three years' experience in an FP&A role and have exceptional analytical and decision-making skills. The successful individual will meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Financial Discipline
  • 3 years+ of relevant financial planning and analysis experience preferably within a global/group environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
