VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a forward thinking business based in Cookstown. The business has grown both organically and through acquisition which has resulted in the creation of this new role. Our client are specialists in their field and this role provides an opportunity to combine the highest level of technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen.
The Role
- To assist with year-end audit and statutory reporting
- To assist with month-end reporting
- To work with various stakeholders to prepare and articulate movements in KPIs for monthly Board reports
- To assist with M&A projects and integration of new businesses
- To evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements and uncover areas for improvement
- Involvement in ad-hoc projects & analysis
The Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant accounting qualification (i.e. ACA or ACCA)
- Demonstrable experience in preparing statutory financial statements, consolidations and cashflows.
- Competency in Microsoft Applications including advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Willingness to work to tight deadlines
