FINANCE MANAGER - BELFAST

The Client:

VANRATH are exclusively recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of a market leading business based in brand new state of the art offices in Belfast City Centre.. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role is offering a market leading salary and an excellent benefits package , this is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded accountant to join an global market leading business.

The Role:

  • Become the key finance partner of the European telecom businesses.
  • Establish processes and controls to ensure an effective and robust finance function in the European entities.
  • Manage time & resource and feedback to Head of Finance and Finance Director so any additional resource proposals can be reviewed and acted upon pro-actively.
  • Month on month and vs budget analysis of performance, in conjunction with the commercial and sales teams.
  • Management and posting of month end accruals deferred income, prepayments and accrued income.
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register and making the required postings to the finance system on a regular basis.
  • Preparation and submission of local VAT returns.
  • Review of the intercompany balance reconciliation at month end and timely resolution of any errors.
  • Preparing and maintaining a rolling weekly cash forecast for submission to Group.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting as required with more ad-hoc projects in support of the growth ambitions of the Telecoms Group such as system integration, accounting policy alignment and process centralisation and/or automation.


The Person

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Experience of managing a team and financial reporting
  • Experience in Excel
  • Excellent management and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with FRS 102 would be an advantage
