Client

VANRATH are delighted to be working with a large public sector organisation who require a Finance Assistant to join their team on an initial interim contract however due to the nature of the cover and the organisation, there is potential for this to extend.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring transactions are maintained within the computerised accounting system.

This role has the opportunity for an immediate start.

The Ideal Person

If you've 2+ years' experience working in a Finance Assistant role and are available at short notice:

  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong IT systems knowledge
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

As a Finance Assistant you will:

  • Input and process purchase invoices
  • Raising customer invoices
  • Allocating incoming cash
  • Prepare banking
  • Process supplier payments
  • Assist month end process
