Client

VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading employer in Northern Ireland who are at the forefront of their industry. This is an initial 12-month contract for a Qualified Finance Analyst to join their team. Although this role is on an interim basis, due to the structures within the business, there is a possibility that it could become a longer-term position.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Finance Analyst will assist with supporting, analysing and challenging performance across a specific directorate. This role would suit a commercially minded Accountant who is comfortable building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Ideal Person

If you've 2+ years' experience of working as a Qualified Accountant:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Previous experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Proactive management of risks and opportunities
  • Strong MS Excel user
  • Work on own initiative

Responsibilities

As a Finance Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Proactive contribution to business improvement
  • Assess the impact of proposals on business targets
  • Partner with business unit to drive reporting and information requirements
  • Support development and submission of budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure appropriate risk management and financial control framework in place
