Credit Controller

Having been established in 2018 with only one branch, our client now has five branches across Northern Ireland and is set to open two more. The Role
The successful credit controller will be responsible for overseeing all the bad debt owed to the company and be responsible for daily reconciliations and month end procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Taking a proactive role in managing the debtors ledger, ensuring debt is collected from customers within credit terms
  • Ensuring all payments received are posted and allocated to the ledger in a timely and accurate manner
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure smooth running of accounts
  • Resolving queries both internally and externally on any outstanding invoices
  • Coordinating month end statement runs for customers
  • Evaluating new credit requests including contacting trade references
  • Creating and setting up new customers on the ledger
  • Other duties as required


The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' experience in a credit control function and have previously overseen a large customer portfolio. Moreover, it would be beneficial if the successful candidate had previously assisted in month end procedures. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Previous credit control experience
  • 5 GCSE's grade A-C to include Maths and English
  • Good communication and organisational skills are essential
  • Strong numeracy skills and a good attention to detail
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and individually
