Credit Controller
I am pleased to be recruiting exclusively for a Credit Controller in a busy fin-tech business in Belfast City Centre. My client is currently experiencing a tremendous period growth and requires an experienced AR professional to join their already established team on a permanent basis.

The Role
The day-to-day role of a credit controller will entail cash collection, debtor analysis, reporting for the finance team and carrying out actions to improve the balance sheet position. The successful individual will assist the finance team as required to ensure debtor balances are reconciled, monitored and reported in a timely manner.
Reporting the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring debt are paid in a timely and effective manner. You will help negotiate payment agreements and provide weekly and monthly reporting of the Accounts Receivable function.

  • Preparation of debtor reporting
  • Monthly billing
  • Cash collection and query handling
  • Ensure the business is adhering to relevant accounting standards
  • Manage relationship with customers and internal sales team, including preparing and presenting data on performance of the business
  • Continuously reviewing invoicing and debt collection procedures for improvement and operational efficiency of the credit control function



The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and financial software and have a proven track record of working to tight deadlines in a similar environment.

  • 3-5 years recent experience within a credit control position
  • Experience with multi-currency billing and collections
  • Any formal credit control training/qualifications would be an advantage
  • Capable of working independently with full ownership and the confidence to manage processes end to end
  • An effective and articulate communicator, able to persuasively present concepts clearly and concisely to key stakeholders, adjusting style to audience
  • Demonstrate ability and temperament to work with sensitive information
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and proactively resolve issues with financial information.
  • Detail-oriented while also demonstrating the ability to summarise a complex issue into straightforward requirements
