VANRATH are working with one of Northern Ireland's leading providers of car parking services, hiring a Contracts & Operations Manager to effectively manage multiple Contracts and a team of 15+


Remuneration:
£40k to £45k DOE + Package


Client
Our client provides car parking solutions for clients in the public sector and the private sector, including managing their own car parks. They were the first UK parking and traffic management company to obtain BS 5750 accreditation for Quality Systems in 1994 and subsequently achieved the following ISO accreditation: Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015; Environmental ISO 14001:2015; Health & Safety; BS OHSAS 18001:2007

Their Integrated Management System and Investors in People (Silver) accreditation ensures that all employees have the competencies, skills and qualifications required to perform their jobs and this is sustained and developed by their robust training and development education programmes.

The Role

The Contracts & Operations Manager's main purpose will be to Ensure the delivery of all contract KPIs whilst actively seeking opportunities for contract efficiency and profit improvement across parking enforcement contracts and / or car park assets to maximise sustainable revenue in line with business plan objectives for growth and the company's desire to present a reliable, trustworthy, and innovative brand.

Responsibilities

  • Positively impact on staff productivity through highly visible and effective leadership and engagement practices
  • Uphold the company's commitment to employee well-being and safety through the development and improvement of appropriate management and work practices
  • Effectively plan and manage resource allocation and rotas to maximise efficiency and effectiveness in line with cost and profit ratio across all contracts and to ensure that resources are always available as and when needed
  • Support our growth ambitions to increase the number of parking enforcement contracts across NI council areas.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to profitably extend and improve the scope of existing contracts
  • Establish and utilise an effective reporting regime to monitor contract delivery performance and take timely corrective action where required
  • Support our growth ambitions to increase the number of parking assets we manage on behalf of landlords and / or on our own behalf.
  • Develop and present timely and compelling business case proposals to senior management for any upgrades, improvements, and repairs, including those for efficiency and automation through new technologies
  • Resource, manage, and deploy the Patrol Officer team to maximise customer compliance and to apply timely and appropriate enforcement where required
  • Proactively identify appropriate opportunities to add to the car park estate and work closely with the Managing Director to pursue these opportunities with landowners and estate agents



The Ideal Person:

  • 3+ Years experience in Contracts or Operations Management
  • Experience managing a team of 15+
  • Excellent commercial skills and awareness
  • Full driving license



Previous experience in the Car Parking industry would be an advantage
