Construction Project Manager (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Construction Project Manager (Public Sector) for 9 months initially with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible to manage and deliver minor works capital projects.

  • Managing delivery of Client's annual minor works programme, ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed cost and time parameters and in compliance with specification and statutory requirements
  • Co-ordinating and managing in-house technical teams, clerk of works and external managed services teams and contractors
  • Professional duties of a Principal Designer under the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM), advising and monitoring locality staff on issues relating to CDM Regulations.


Requirements

  • Degree level or equivalent in a construction related discipline and previous experience in construction field
  • Project management skillset, including financial planning and business case development
  • Knowledge of NEC3 contracts and supplier management
  • Understanding of AutoCad
  • Previous experience delivering construction projects in the public sector



Remuneration
£35,745 per annum, plus discount benefits.
