CLIENT;


Our global construction business is looking to appoint a company Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Director, they will essentially be responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts including full profit and loss and balance sheet review for two group entities. Management of ledgers for both branch and company accounts.
  • Liaise with other functions and department managers to ensure all queries associated with the monthly management accounts are correctly and promptly treated.
  • Monitor, record, analyse and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations relating to the monthly management accounts.
  • Support the group's annual financial budget process.
  • Manage the statutory audit process at financial year end.
  • Manage other statutory and tax returns (inc VAT) as required.
  • Effective use of business intelligence software.
  • Involvement in business improvement projects
  • Provide support to other roles in the department as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS;

  • Preferably Qualified accountant with minimum 1-2 years PQE in industry, but would consider strong newly qualified candidate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to stay calm and work well under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills
