About you
- Proven dealership accounting experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and financial reporting
- Excellent organisational and supervisory skills
- Experience with VAT, NI, and statutory compliance
- Ability to manage multiple accounting functions accurately and efficiently
What you'll do
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliation reports using QuickBooks
- Coordinate year-end audit processes and prepare statutory accounts
- Supervise the Accounts Administrator and oversee credit control activities
- Manage sales, purchase, and nominal ledger processes, including reconciliations
- Handle bank reconciliations and weekly/monthly payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with VAT, NI, Intrastat, EC Sales List, and customs declarations
- Maintain dealership-specific records such as warranty claims and inventory management
- Lead ongoing business improvement initiatives across departments
- Create KPI reports and support system enhancements to optimise operations
