About you

  • Proven dealership accounting experience is essential
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and financial reporting
  • Excellent organisational and supervisory skills
  • Experience with VAT, NI, and statutory compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple accounting functions accurately and efficiently

What you'll do

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliation reports using QuickBooks
  • Coordinate year-end audit processes and prepare statutory accounts
  • Supervise the Accounts Administrator and oversee credit control activities
  • Manage sales, purchase, and nominal ledger processes, including reconciliations
  • Handle bank reconciliations and weekly/monthly payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, NI, Intrastat, EC Sales List, and customs declarations
  • Maintain dealership-specific records such as warranty claims and inventory management
  • Lead ongoing business improvement initiatives across departments
  • Create KPI reports and support system enhancements to optimise operations
