Due to the increased demand for their first-class products, our client now has an opening for a Category Buyer on a full-time permanent basis.
The ideal person:
- Three year's similar buying experience
- Category buying experience
- CIPS or related qualification (i,e., degree)
Duties for this position will include:
- Assist with commercial negotiation and tender designation to supplier base
- Manage multiple supplier relationships and projects to balance supply chain competition
- Promote sustainable and ethical sourcing practices across the team and wider company
- Effectively source and manage suppliers, creating a competitive and cost-effective plan
- Drive continuous improvements for the Category / group of commodities.
