VANRATH are delighted to be representing a locally owned success story based in Lisburn, who provide a first-class design and manufacturing service. Our client now have an opening for a Buyer, offering a competitive starting salary as well as vibrant working environment.

The ideal person:

• 2-3 year's experience in a Buying/Procurement role
• Effective negotiator
• Ability to build rapport and develop strong working relationships
• CIPS Level 4 or working towards
• Strong Excel and MRP skills

As a Buyer, your duties will include:

• Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to deliver cost savings utilising negotiation and best practice tools and methods
• Issuing requests for quotation for any new parts added to the Bill of Materials
• Management of supplier scope monitoring open order book
• Managing existing suppliers and building relationships with new suppliers
• Sourcing of new suppliers
