VANRATH are working with one of Northern Ireland's most recognisable employers who are currently recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on an interim basis. Having just went through a significant period of transition including a system upgrade, the organisation operate on a global scale and are keen to hire a Part-Qualified Accountant for this role.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely production of monthly board backs and financial reports for senior management. Individuals with strong Excel skills including pivots and vLookups are essential due to the reporting requirements for this role.

The organisation has an excellent reputation in the market for providing Part-Qualified Accountants with the opportunity to progress to the next step of their career. They are renowned for providing training opportunities, and with this role initially being an interim contract there is the potential to secure a permanent contract.

The Ideal Person

If you are an Assistant Accountant/Assistant Management Accountant and are available to commit to a long-term contract, with strong systems experience;

  • Assistant Accountant with management accounts experience
  • Strong systems experience including MS Excel (Pivots and vLookups)
  • Comfortable with journal postings, accruals, and prepayments
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Available to start at short notice

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Accountant you will:

  • Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Month end close
  • Analyse financial statements
