About the ideal candidate

  • Previous experience in an accounting support role or similar finance position
  • Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (desirable)
  • Strong grasp of month-end procedures and reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment

What the role involves

  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
  • Processing journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Contributing to budgeting and variance analysis
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting internal controls
  • Providing support for accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Preparing documentation for audits and liaising with auditors
  • Participating in continuous process improvements within the finance function
