VANRATH is delighted to be working with a reputable company who are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team for an initial period of 12 months. Due to the expansion of their team, this is an opportunity to join a successful business who have been in operation for 50+ years and are highly respected within their industry.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for various tasks and will play a vital part in the group reporting for our client and the month end process. The successful candidate will ensure accounting records are maintained accordingly.

The Ideal Person

If you've 2+ years' experience of working as an Assistant Accountant and are available to start immediately:

• Previous Assistant Accountant experience
• Available immediately
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proactive approach
• Strong teamwork ability

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Allocating incoming payments
• Compiling bank reconciliations
• Assist in year-end procedures
• Support on budget and forecast uploads
• Maintain digital and physical financial records
