Assets Surveyor-
Are you looking for a Assets Surveyor role? Interested in working for a large public body for a period of 6 months?

VANRATH are recruiting a Assets Surveyor to carry out a range of professional property asset management services, overseeing the day to day management of the client's property portfolio and assisting in the implementation of the Estate Strategy and Asset Management Plans.

Remuneration:
c£31,3895, alongside holiday entitlement and pension (from day one).

The Ideal Person

  • A third level qualification

AND

Be able to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' experience in Estate Management of large mixed use property portfolios to include at least two of the following:

  1. Handling lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions and disposals.
  2. Management of a Property Asset Management database
  3. Implementation of asset management strategies.
  • Additionally, you will have or be working towards Corporate Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as either a Chartered Valuation Surveyor, Chartered Commercial Property Surveyor or Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor.
  • If you do not possess a third level qualification, you will be able to demonstrate that you possess a minimum of 4 years' experience in Estate Management of large mixed use property portfolios as outlined above.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of the Council's Estate Strategy and Asset Management Plans.
  • Handle the day to day management of the Council's operational property portfolio and deal with general enquiries as required to assist the delivery of operational services.
  • Liaise with Council departments, elected members and members of the public on general queries on the Council's property portfolio and deal with any issues arising.
  • Compile and maintain data on the Council's asset register and property asset management system.
  • Assist the Council's GIS officer in the identification and mapping of Council's property assets onto the GIS system and handle negotiations on any encroachments or other property issues identified.
  • Deal with queries on rates assessments on Council properties including rating appeals and information required in relation to the General Revaluation carried out by LPS.
