VANRATH are delighted to be working with a successful engineering business in Newtownabbey who are currently recruiting a Accounts Assistant to join their team as they are going thought a significant period of change. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the financial transactions of the business are processed in line with agreed timescales.

To be considered for the role, it is essential to have previous experience within a similar role - ideally with a strong working knowledge of sales ledger processes.

The Ideal Person

If you are a Accounts Assistant and are immediately available to start;

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent IT skills and strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Comfortable with purchase and sales ledger
  • Bank reconciliations

Responsibilities

As a Accounts Assistant you will:

  • Process sales invoices
  • Assist with constructing suitable sales proposals
  • Generating finance reports
  • Responsible for the invoicing and recovery of outstanding balances
  • Assist with information for tenders
