Our client is keen to secure a multifaceted Accounts Assistant, to join their already established finance function. The successful Accounts Assistant will assist the FC across all aspects of the finance function and be exposed to a varied workload. This is a great opportunity, for a finance professional to further enhance their current skillset and gain exposure across muti-entity sites.

The Role
The Accounts Assistant will support the FC in all finance related activities and will play a pivotal role as the business grows over the next few years. This is an exciting opportunity, for a driven individual seeking a role which can offer variety in a fast-paced industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting with the monthly management accounts
  • Sales ledger and Aged Debtors Analysis
  • Credit Control
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts to supplier statements
  • Performing monthly supplier payment run
  • Ensuring that all payments are correctly allocated on the system
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal Entries
  • Proving support with year-end audits
  • Other requests from the Financial Controller


The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced finance function and be willing to learn new processes on the job. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and have previously assisted with management accounts. The successful Accounts Assistant will meet the following criteria:

  • 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grade C and above
  • Previous experience in an accountancy-based role
  • Experience of assisting in month end management accounts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working on initiative
