Accounting Technician

VANRATH are delighted to be working with a local firm seeking to take on an Accounts Technician into their team in Antrim.

This role is ideally suited to an accounting technician with relevant practice experience who can assist the team in accounts preparation & tax returns.

This opportunity represents a truly 360 accountancy role gaining broad exposure from a range of clients and requirements while building a niche network of clients and business connections.

Responsibilities

• Accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Self Assessment tax returns for self-employed, married couples and high-net worth individuals
• Corporate Tax returns
• VAT returns in line with MTD
• Using Xero & Sage to prepare accounts to trial balance
• Liaising with HMRC and other third parties

Essential Criteria

• Ideally ATI qualified but not essential
• Experienced using Xero, Sage or Quickbooks
• Advanced Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Macros)
• Minimum 2 Years in a similar role
