How to get yourself ahead in the job market

•  Try to decide as early as possible what sector you would like to work in
• Choose a challenging final year project or an interesting project based around key technologies
• Have an interest outside of academia in Technology or Business Process ( e.g. courses in Sun Cert, MS Cert, ISEB )
• Try to gain a specific technical knowledge – not a “veneer” of understanding
