3 QA Roles-Initially based in Canada then moving to Belfast

We are currently working with our client, a Canadian based organisation, to help migrate some of their QA function here to Belfast.  This is an extremely rare opportunity to work within a well established business in another country, gaining excellent experience of a challenging technology stack. Once the initial 6-12 month stint is over, you will be required to come back to Belfast to work for the client here. 

If you are at the stage in your career where you would like the chance to see another part of the world with a guaranteed job in Belfast awaiting you down the line, this role may be of interest.  This is a challenging QA role in which the most technical QA engineer will flourish.

This company produce a suite of products for a diversity of technology companies in Northern America and Europe.  As a QA Engineer, you should have come from a product background, with experience of scripting and multiple Operating Systems.  Any previous OO experience , as a graduate or as a junior developer would be a distinct advantage.

Ideal candidate:

Ø 2+ years QA experience ( This may include a placement year )

Ø BSc Computer Science or MSc/MEng qualification

Ø Competent in scripting technologies ( Perl, Bash, PHP, Korn, Shell )

Ø Good understanding of testing for different Operating Systems ( Windows, Linux , Unix )

The client has a reputation for technical excellence and this is a chance to work with some of the best IT guys in the sector. This role will definitely add to your CV and allow you to leverage of the experience of the team. If you do not wish to travel, and your background is relevant. There may still be an option to hire you for the Belfast operation, with no travel.
