Cost Accountant - Manufacturing - Belfast

VanRath are exclusively recruiting for a cost accountant for a large global manufacturing business located in Belfast. This is a new position that has been created due to an increase in the volume of work within the finance function. Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will include:

Management, review and maintenance of the costing system
Ensure the item is properly maintained
Assure the accuracy of BOM's
Update bill of material standard costs
create and review the controls to assure an accurate perpetual inventory
Verify on a daily basis the accuracy of the cost of sales recorded in the GL
Production and development of sales and margin management reporting
Production and development of purchasing savings analysis and reporting
Report on variances and their causes
Analyse capital budgeting requests
Assist in the preparation and completion of yearly base plan
Report on break even points by products, work cells and factory
Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses
Link between finance and other functions within the business
Reporting / monitoring costs on each new product against target cost
Contribution analysis for each new product
Co-ordinate physical inventories and cycle counts

The successful candidate will have significant costing and manufacturing experience ideally within a similar role. You would ideally be a qualified accountant however this is not essential.
