VanRath have been exclusively retained to recruit an Accountant for this 12 month maternity cover contract. Our client is a subsidiary of a UK wide LC. With a solid product and brand name behind this is a stable organisation to work for with the potential of future opportunities arising.

Working alongside the Finance Director the responsibilities of the role entail;

-Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
-Prepare UK Statutory Accounts including disclosure notes for all group companies including the Northern Ireland consolidated accounts
-Liaise with Internal and external auditors including preparation of audit schedules
-Completion of financial reporting packages
prepare cash flow projections for development projects to ensure efficient cash management
-Prepare quarterly tax templates and take responsibility for all aspects of taxation accounting
-Completion of Annual budget templates

Essential Criteria
-Ability to provide commercial and analytic support to evaluate risk and cost effectiveness
-Ability to develop financial and scenario based models to maximise business performance
Ability to prioritise workload to meet important deadlines and to work on own initiative
-Sound understanding of IT applications (including excel) and accounting systems

The successful applicant must be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong commercial experience which must have been gained within industry. Previous financial modeling skills, SAP and Task experience is desirable.
