Financial Accountant - County Antrim (excl. Belfast)

My client is urgently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to replace an employee who has been promoted internally within the business. The role will report into the UK and you will work with a team of other qualified Accountants. The role will last approx 10-12 months and may be extended to a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of UK Statutory Accounts including disclosure notes for all group companies including the Northern Ireland Consolidated Accounts
Liaise with Internal and External Auditors, including preparation of audit schedules
Completion of Financial reporting packages
Prepare cash flow projections for development projects to ensure efficient cash management
Preparation of quarterly tax templates and take responsibility for all aspects of taxation accounting

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with recent experience in preparing or auditing statutory accounts. You must also have an ability to provide commercial and analytical support to evaluate risk and cost effectiveness; ability to develop financial and scenario based models to maximise business performance; ability to prioritise workload with a sound understanding of IT applications (including excel) and accounting systems.
