Cost Accountant - Growing Company

Our client is an expanding and progressive group of companies based in Antrim. They have a £40million turnover and a diversified product range and as a result are a successful organisation with a large finance team which will afford the succesful applicant extensive career development opportunities.

Working with the Group Finance Director the responsibilities of the role entail;

• Creation of cost estimates for established sales items.
• Tracking of yield data. Performs overhead calculations, inventory valuation, and cost allocation/work order reviews.
• Reporting on cost / margin of products / customers / regions and highlight areas for attention and identify areas where enhanced profitability can be driven.
• Assisting management on special projects as required.
• Preparation of cost and efficiency analysis to assist management in key decision making.
• Maintainance of budget to actual costs analysis by production line
• Reporting on breakeven points by products and factories
• Prepatation of management reports with gross profit analysis reports
• Responsible for assisting in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget
• Other duties as assigned.


The Cost Accountant must be a qualified member of a recognized Professional Accountancy body and will preferably have a minimum of two years experience working in a manufacturing environment. Extensive costing experience is also a requirement.
