VanRath have been exclusively retained to recruit a commercially minded Accountant for this local business. They are a solid company with a strong balance sheet and a diverse and growing client base. This is a group of companies and there are four different companies within the group. This is an excellent opportunity for a company accountant to further develop their commercial experience in a strategic role.

The specific responsibilities of the role include;

- preparation of monthly management accounts pack
- review contracts and analyse profitability
- prepare contract budgets
- prepare reports and costings for new tenders and contract quotations
- management of two accounts staff
- communication of financial information to non financial people

The successful applicant must be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous industry experience ideally gained within construction. Strong commercial awareness is required as it s a proven track record in driving business performance through cost cutting.
